Obviously, his Tonight Show legacy is his hallmark and he has several other things to be remembered by including the original American Idol (Star Search), and perhaps most impressive being a Marine pilot in both WWII and Korea — but let us not forget his foray into blaxsploitation in the early 70s.

Transformers 2 comes out today and while I usually take what most movie critics say with a grain of salt, I thought I’d pass along Ebert’s review since he can still review the hell out of a movie. Sneak peak, to say he didn’t like it would be an understatement. I’m shocked since the first one broke new ground in plot/character development. I was hoping the discussions of the sequel at the leading universities of the world would raise human intelligence by mere osmosis as they ponder the multi-layered intricacies of the plot. Alas, I guess not ..

“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” is a horrible experience of unbearable length, briefly punctuated by three or four amusing moments …

ESPN Trades Salisbury For Carter

Good riddance. He was a lousy quarterback, a sleazeball person and an awful voice for ESPN. And those were his good qualities. Here’s his parting statement.

“I have grown as much as I can at ESPN and decided to expand my horizons. I have created a brand and it’s time to expand into other opportunities in TV, radio, Internet, publishing, movies and public speaking, among others. My resume speaks for itself as a football analyst, and I believe I can talk all sports with the best of them.”

All I can say is wow, what an ass.

Ugh. A few comments:

1.) Nice to see the dad from “That 70s Show” is still getting work.

2.) Where do bad guys find their posses? Is there a Match.com for villainy? “hi, I’m a world class sniper looking to hook up with a bomb maker. MUST HAVE OWN CAR”

3.) Didn’t I see this storyline last summer in Die Hard 4? Hell, even taking over the airport control tower communications is straight out of Die Hard 2.
